Job Title: SENIOR CONSULTANT

Purpose of Role

Senior Consultants support the CEO and senior management team in delivery of the business vision. Senior Consultants scope, lead and manage large, complex and high risk assignments, often multi ­ disciplinary in nature. They originate new work, create proposals and lead on pitches for work. They are industry leads, sought by clients and recognised as an authority in their area of specialism. Senior Consultants mentor /coach more junior staff to nurture capability and long term development of team.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a CX/UCD evangelist, seeking opportunities and creating initiatives to inspire clients and build long­standing, consultative, senior relationships.
  • Be highly consultative in nature, working with clients to understand their challenges, frustrations and opportunities for WAE to solve these challenges.
  • Lead proposal development and create statement of works which include pricing and planning projects, for complex projects on behalf of the company’s blue­chip clients.
  • Lead new business pitches from new and existing accounts.
  • Proactively look for new business opportunities and manage commercial relations between company and assigned accounts.
  • Resolve complex client issues and agree way forward. Provide escalation point for crisis intervention / jeopardy management.
  • Maximise revenue opportunities and the profitability of projects.
  • Act as Practitioning Project Lead on large, complex, high risk assignments, often multi ­ disciplinary in nature, delivering on time and on budget, in line with project and client requirements.

About You

  • You have a genuine passion for Service Design and being consultative
  • You are comfortable outside your comfort zone and ‘being thrown in the deep end!’
  • Collaborative by nature you should work well in a fast­paced, dynamic, deadline driven environment and working on multiple projects
  • You are excited by change and challenging the status quo. You are proactive in everything you do, from your self­development to learning about your clients, their issues and how to resolve them
  • 5+ years’ experience at a senior level, delivering major work­streams / client projects on behalf of blue­chip organisations
  • Managed key account relationships, with responsibility for delivering client growth and revenue targets
  • Desire to take responsibility for leading the strategic direction of the business and supporting the Directors and senior management team in the company’s vision
  • Able to inspire and lead teams of individuals across the business, while acknowledged authority within specialist, practitioner area
