We are delighted to announce that the WAE Metropolitan Police iPad Mobility Project has been named finalist today for the UK Digital Experience Awards’ Best App/Mobile — First Strategy and Government Service categories.
This comes hot on the heels of the announcements last month that this project has also been named Finalist for the Meffys awards’ Innovation in Technology category and highly commended for the Lovie in the Best User Experience category.
For The Metropolitan Police iPad Mobility Project WAE worked in partnership with the Metropolitan Police Mobility Team to develop a pilot system that enhances three key areas of The Metropolitan Police’s Crime Reporting Information System (CRIS). Using an iPad mini officers were able to quickly and efficiently report crimes and missing persons, collect evidence and record witness statements. With a clear vision to improve the flow of information and help front line officers make urgent decisions on location, WAE implemented collaborative, user-centred methodologies to create an end-to-end mobile service.
Owned by Awards International, operators of the UK Customer Experience Awards, the Awards are run in partnership with Customer Experience Magazine and Cranfield University School of Management.
The evening offers a fantastic opportunity to network with key players in customer experience and hear real life examples of companies that are making great strides in applying customer experience management best practices.
The Awards are sponsored by Usability 24/7 with Barnardo’s as the chosen charity. Any money raised at the event will be donated to its Seraf Service — a pan-wales service working with children and young people who have experienced, or are at risk of sexual exploitation.
