Transforming Savills Online

Designing a modern, flexible and responsive system.

Savills Investment Management (SavillsIM) were seeking to update their website to ensure their online presence met the expectations of investors. In just five weeks WAE completed user research, co-design, user experience (UX) and prototyping, visual design and a comprehensive style guide to deliver a clean, modern, and flexible system for a new digital destination.

WAE began by working to truly understand the needs of an investor and what they expect from a modern and professional investment management website.

Customer immersion

Interviews were conducted with key stakeholders and staff who work closely with investors on a daily basis including the CEO, COO and investment managers. During these sessions the WAE research team were able to extract valuable insights which greatly informed the design process.

Involvement from c-suite executives and senior staff members was extremely critical to success throughout co-design and creative innovation sessions conducted by WAE, as it enabled the team to rapidly design and develop website concepts, plus layout relevant content tailored specifically to investors needs.

Moreover, early on the decision was made to build a system with content modules to give SavillsIM flexibility with future development, whilst maintaining a consistent brand, style and feel throughout.

Striving for success

WAE surpassed all KPIs and requirements agreed with SavillsIM at the start of the project. Double the amount of web pages (across desktop, tablet and mobile) were delivered, in addition to a detailed brand style guide to assist the build.
